Drizzly days and chilly nights, first day back to school, fiery fall-colored leaves, caramel apples and fair rides. Another fantastic week to be happy about!
Wishing everyone a happy Five Things Friday.
Here are this week’s five things at random from Barbara Ann Kipfer’s book, 14,000 Things to be Happy About, plus a five-photo-roundup of things that made me smile this week. Read on for the link-up rules and info.
Five things to be happy about:
- the center of a cinnamon bun
- going back to the drawing board
- jumping into bed with a good book
- fried mozzarella and marinara sauce
- the place where one sock in every load of laundry disappears to

I’m jealous Amanda… it looks like Fall has really arrived where you are. Going back to the drawing board… yesterday I sketched out a new quilt and figured out all the cutting math. But I had a dream about it last night and realized it wasn’t what I wanted so I just re-did it this morning. Now I’m happy. Here’s the link for my list… https://quiltnparty.com/2016/09/09/5-things-friday-10/

I have more drawing-board moments than I’d like to admit. This Cloud9 block was a testament to that for sure (insert excuse for delayed FTF response here)! Glad to hear you’re happy with your re-do – I love when that happens! 😊 Heading to your post now. Have a wonderful week!

Your photos capture that crispness in the air, and the end of summer, back to school feeling that comes with September! Even though I have been retired for awhile, 33 years of teaching has me conditioned to think “back to school” when the days get shorter and the nights get a bit cooler.

Thank you for the kind words, Marla! I don’t think that familiar feeling ever goes away – it’s one of the best ones! 😊
