“The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they are felt with the heart.” – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince
Hope you’re having a beautiful week! Happy Five Things Friday, friends!
Here are this week’s five things at random from Barbara Ann Kipfer’s book, 14,000 Things to be Happy About, plus a five-photo-roundup of things that made me smile this week. Read on for the link-up rules and info.
Five things to be happy about:
- finding a drive-in movie and watching from behind the fence
- seeing the thinnest sliver of the new moon hanging in the sky at dusk
- a five-year-old playing with scotch tape
- pinking shears
- eating a chocolate Easter bunny’s head first
Five smiles photo-roundup:

I love this idea. It makes you really see the great things of each day. Putting them in a list really reaffirms the good in your week by the little things. I think I will need to link up (if I can figure that out) each week.

Absolutely! I find myself looking for happy moments all week long. 😊 I’d love for you to link up and it’s easy peasy! Just leave a comment on my weekly FTF blog post with the link to your FTF post, so others who link up with me can visit your blog too! And don’t forget to add a link in your FTF post telling your readers where they can find mine. Phew! Hopefully that wasn’t too confusing. 😋 Thank you so much for the kind words, Janis. I hope to see what you’re happy about this week!

Hi Amanda… finding a drive in and watching from outside the fence reminded me of my younger days when we would go to Red Rocks Amphitheatre and sit on the hills outside the park to listen to the concerts and watch the stars. Your daughter has such a great smile and those flowers are so pretty. Here’s my link https://quiltnparty.com/2016/09/16/5-things-friday-11/. Have a great weekend!
