School is officially out for Summer and we’ve been taking full advantage of these beautifully sunny days here in Vancouver. We’ve had a week full of discovering beaches, having picnics at the park, and staying up way past our bedtimes. Wishing everyone a fantastic Summer and a very happy Five Things Friday!
Here are this week’s five things at random from Barbara Ann Kipfer’s book, 14,000 Things to be Happy About, plus a five-photo-roundup of things that made me smile this week. Read on for the link-up info.
Five things to be happy about:
- acclimating oneself to a cold swimming pool, one body region at a time
- babies eating Cheerios
- bee-drone days and firefly nights
- walking barefoot in the park
- cheesecake and espresso

I didn’t realize you are in Vancouver! I lived there for a decade and am in Victoria now. And how old is your big kid? My big one is nine. Happy Canada day!

Hi Nicole! My oldest is 11 (going on 20). 😂 Happy belated Canada day to you too! We’ve been living in Vancouver for a few months now from the US. It’s gorgeous up here! We haven’t traveled too much, but we plan to soon. Victoria is definitely on our list!
