Five things to be happy about {five things friday}

Blue skies, Minty Plus Quilts and backyard dirt-a-thons, this week has been packed full of fun projects, sunshiny days, and a little bit of good luck. This also happens to be the week we officially survive the terrible-twos as my not-so-terrible baby boy turns three this Sunday. Wishing a happy third birthday to my little digger, and a happy Five Things Friday to you!

Here are this week’s five things at random from Barbara Ann Kipfer’s book, 14,000 Things to be Happy About, plus a five-photo-roundup of things that made me smile this week.

Five things to be happy about:

  • cake-and-lemonade parties
  • the silent wish you make
  • the line you draw on a check to prevent someone from writing “and a million dollars”
  • the corded trunk of a sugar maple
  • feeling deliciously invisible while you watch the world go by

  1. I love this post, and I’m going to go back and read some of your other “five things ” posts. We all need gentle reminders to find the good in our lives. I wonder if you’d consider doing this as a Friday link up so others could join you?
